PILOT HIGHLAND DANCE COMPETITION

march 2021

Pilot Competition Organizer | Pioneering the Return to Safe Competition

After 14 months of canceled competitions due to the pandemic, I was selected to organize one of only three pilot competitions in the United States—an event that played a critical role in safely bringing competitive events back. With meticulous planning and coordination, my event set the standard for reopening competitions not only in the U.S. but also globally, making the United States the first country to return to competition.

Working closely with governing bodies, officials, and competitors, I developed and implemented new safety protocols that became the foundation for future events. From participant flow and health screenings to modified procedures that balanced tradition with safety, every detail was designed to ensure a smooth and responsible return to competition.

This event was more than just a pilot competition—it was a pivotal moment for the sport, proving that with careful planning and innovation, we could move forward. The success of this pilot not only allowed athletes to get back to what they love but also set the framework for future competitions in the post-pandemic world.

GRADUATIOn commencement ceremony

june 2020

EVENT PLANNER

With traditional graduation ceremonies canceled in 2020, I transformed a backyard into a meaningful and intimate commencement celebration. In only a week, every detail was thoughtfully planned to uphold the traditional moments of a graduation while creating a deeply personal experience. A custom-made diploma was presented on a beautifully designed stage, and heartfelt speeches from family and close friends honored the graduate’s journey. To make the day even more special, a recording from the graduate's future college chaplain added a sense of continuity and encouragement for the next chapter.

Family and friends who couldn’t attend in person contributed letters filled with love, wisdom, and congratulations, which we compiled into a keepsake for the graduate—a tangible reminder of the support surrounding her.

This was one of those glad gifts—the kind of event that felt truly special to bring to life. In a year of uncertainty, creating a space for joy, recognition, and togetherness was a reminder that milestones matter, and celebration can take many forms.

GAMMA PHI BETA REAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

FEBRUARY 2020

LEAD FACILITATOR

As a Lead Facilitator for Gamma Phi Beta, I led high-impact training sessions designed to empower collegiate executive councils in their leadership journeys. Over the course of my tenure, I facilitated sessions for more than 500 attendees, guiding emerging leaders through key areas such as team management, organizational strategy, and effective communication.

Through engaging workshops and interactive discussions, I helped chapter leaders navigate challenges, refine their leadership styles, and implement strategic decision-making practices. My role also included one-on-one coaching, fostering confidence and skill development in young women stepping into influential leadership positions.

By creating a supportive and dynamic learning environment, I helped collegiate leaders develop the tools and mindset necessary to lead with confidence, collaboration, and purpose—strengthening both their individual growth and the long-term success of their chapters.

ALMA COLLEGE HOMECOMING

OCTOBER 2018

HOMECOMING COMMITTEE MEMBER

As a member of the Alma College Alumni Board, I played a key role in organizing and coordinating Alma College’s Homecoming festivities, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for alumni, students, and the broader community. A major highlight of my involvement was managing the logistics of the Homecoming Parade, an event that brings together campus organizations, local businesses, and spirited Scots fans to celebrate Alma pride.

My responsibilities included coordinating parade participants, overseeing route logistics, and ensuring a smooth flow of floats, marching bands, and community groups. From organizing line-up details to collaborating with campus and city officials, I worked to create an event that reflected the energy and tradition of Alma College.

Beyond the parade, I contributed to broader homecoming planning efforts, helping to curate experiences that welcomed alumni back to campus, fostered connections, and upheld cherished traditions. Being part of this event was a meaningful way to give back to my alma mater and help create memorable moments for the Scot community.

LEOVATIVE CORPORATE training

MAY 2017

program coordinator

Leovative was a dynamic, day-long corporate training event designed to help teams at Leo Burnett gain a deeper understanding of the next generation of consumers. To bridge the gap between strategy and real-world insights, I curated a compelling lineup of speakers, including a keynote expert in youth culture and consumer behavior, who provided a deep dive into Gen Z’s values, habits, and expectations from brands.

In addition to the keynote, I brought in a diverse panel of Gen Z individuals, spanning different ages and backgrounds, to share their unfiltered perspectives on social media, brand loyalty, and shopping behaviors. Through interactive discussions and firsthand accounts, attendees gained valuable insights into how Gen Z engages with content, makes purchasing decisions, and expects brands to show up in their world. This immersive learning experience challenged assumptions, sparked fresh thinking, and empowered teams to craft more relevant and resonant marketing strategies for the future.
